There are two different types of Collaborate Rooms that are automatically available in every course site.
Course Room – Is a room that is available for only the course members and is always open for impromptu meetings.
My Room – Is a room that is available for all courses and is open as long as you have an account.
My Room can be used to hold meetings between different course sections in one Collaborate Room.
Both of these Rooms appear open to the students in the absence of a faculty member. This will allow students to hold meetings whether the faculty member is present or not.
