1) Navigate to the Content Area where the Blackboard Collaborate Session is located in.

2) Click on the Blackboard Collaborate Session.

3) The Room Details page will open, Click on the “download the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher.” link.
Image 3: You have to click on the “download the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher”. If you click on the Join Room button without having the Collaborate Launcher installed the meeting.collab file will download but your computer will not know how to execute it.
4) Click on the “Download Launcher” button.

5) The Blackboard Collaborate Installer will download. Click on the Blackboard Collaborate Installer once it finishes downloading.

Note: By default on most computers items are downloaded inside the “Download” folder. You should also be able to find the Installer there.
6) The Blackboard Collaborate Launcher Setup Program will open. Click on “Next” to proceed with the Installation.

7) Click on the “Install” button to begin Installing the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher.

8) Once all of the files are done loading click on “Finish” to complete the Installation process.
