End of the Semester Checklist

Based on common faculty requests, the Learning Platforms team has highlighted the following resources to support faculty as the end of the semester approaches.

Calculate Grades in Blackboard

Respondus Guidance for Final Exams

Provide students with the UM download link to install Respondus Lockdown Browser.
Highlight system requirements and quick start guides with students.
Recommend a system check to diagnose potential issues: Mobile devices, and Chromebooks will hinder their ability to effectively take an exam.
Create a practice exam leveraging Respondus Lockdown Browser / Monitor for students to test prior to the exam.
Review test settings, including the force completion option. If the "force completion" option is checked, you will need to reset a student attempt if the exam is distrupted. This is common cause of student technical difficulties and may distrupt your final exam experience.
