Additional Blackboard Help

In addition to our help desk and website, further just-in-time resources are available to students, faculty and staff when they login to Blackboard Learn Ultra.

  • Support Center: Access the support center directly in Blackboard, by clicking the question mark (?) button at right side when you login. Search for articles while interacting with your courses.
  • Institutional Page: The homepage provides quick links to UM resources, including our help videos on our YouTube channel.

Additional Canvas Help

Canvas also provides built-in, just-in-time resources that become available to students, faculty, and staff when they log in, supplementing our help desk and website.

  • Support Center: Access the Canvas support directly in Canvas, by clicking the question mark (?) button at left side when you login. 
  • Canvas Support includes:
    • Access the Training Services Portal: Access Canvas training videos and courses. Faculty, students, and staff.
    • Search the Canvas Guides: Find answers to common questions. Faculty, students, and staff.
    • Live Chat with Canvas Support: Chat live with a Canvas agent now for real-time support. Faculty only.

Service Status and Incidents

View the latest information on outages, and resolutions for our supported platforms. Faculty, staff and students are notified in Blackboard where necessary, as some outages may not affect us.
