Video Conferencing

Blackboard Learn Ultra and Original connect to multiple real-time video conferencing tools (Collaborate Ultra, Zoom) that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact.

Incoming students, or students who have not used Zoom before will need to log in to miami.zoom.us with their CaneID (SSO:Single Sign-On) to activate their Zoom account before using it in Blackboard.

Zoom Meetings and Blackboard Collaborate Ultra are solutions designed specifically for teaching and learning. Sharing information is always a priority in education. As learning moves progressively online, there are many advantages to using Video Conferencing including these.

  • Synchronous communication (live)
  • Asynchronous via recording
  • Audio and video
  • Chat to communicate and foster engagement
  • Share content through file sharing, web pages, or video
  • Use the whiteboard to present information and foster engagement
